Why I Created Golden Living Today

Golden Living Today began from a very personal place. While helping my aging parents navigate healthcare, benefits, home safety, and everyday decisions, I often found that important information was confusing, scattered, or difficult to understand.
I also work as a personal caregiver, supporting older adults with their daily needs while helping them maintain as much comfort, dignity, and independence as possible. Through this work, I have seen how overwhelming caregiving, rehabilitation, Medicaid, long-term care, and important family decisions can become.
In one caregiving situation, I was eventually entrusted to serve as power of attorney. That experience gave me an even deeper understanding of the responsibility families and caregivers carry when making decisions for someone they care about.
Now, as I experience some of the changes that come with growing older myself, I understand even more how reassuring it is to find guidance that is clear, practical, and respectful. I created Golden Living Today to share what I learn and to help older adults, caregivers, and families feel less overwhelmed and more confident about the decisions ahead.
